You have asked for a place to share your experiences, give and receive support to each other on this journey of creating genuine health.

We have newly re-opened this community forum to provide connection, without names for privacy.

I hope you find it valuable — I will check in regularly!

Best of health to you :)

I was grateful for the reminders – all of them in both the Digestive and Stress quizzes. I really liked how I felt connected and you kept your word to send me the next tips. In the Stress series, not multi-tasking was the most confrontative, and I am experiencing quite a surprising shift as a result of practicing that at least more than previously. In the Digestive series, I can see a positive shift in the out-picturing of a more “ideal” Ayurvedic stool than previously. I appreciate how you share the complex information simply.

    Dear Dr. Lonsdorf,

Do you teach ayurvedic pulse reading? I am keenly intersted in learning pulse diagnostic. I don’t have medical training – but intense interest. Can you recommend me a path to learning?

    Thanks,
    Hema Ahmed.

Thank you so much for launching and maintaining this digestion and stress-free email program. Though I had learned much of what you advised many years ago, I needed to be reminded and just put my attention on it. Following your free tips for optimum digestion and stress-free health are helping me resolve problems and gain balance. The regular hot boiled water for vata digestion is amazingly effective as are the other tips. Very generous of you to reach out in this way.

    Dear Dr. Lonsdorf,

I’ve listened a lot of MAPI podcasts including your interviews. They were very helpful for me. You can explain complicated things easy and simple.

Now I would like to know your opinion on one question I can’t resolve.

    According to AHS Sutrasthana 10.33:

madhuraṃ śleṣmalaṃ prāyo jīrṇāc chāliyavād ṛte /

mudgād godhūmataḥ kṣaudrāt sitāyā jāṅgalāmiṣāt //

Why sitā (white sugar) has no increasing effect on kapha?

    Thank you!

According to Ayurveda, white sugar has qualities that are cooling and heavy and increases kapha. It also promotes weight gain and insulin resistance.

A more healthy alternative would be honey, which is astringent and heating.

I recently heard you speak in Kauai & was inspired to start applying Ayurveda in my life. The 2 cups of hot water in the morning seem to be what has healed 2 body issues I’ve had for a couple of years & nothing else worked–a tiny but bothersome bump on the skin of my nose, & eczema in my ear. I am making herb water for Vata & wonder if that would count as the hot water because it’s so weak that it’s not really like tea. Or should I still have completely plain water in the morning? Mahalo & much Aloha, Wandalea
